ok, it took me forever to get to where i am on my line art and i wish it hadn't taken me that friggen long.
so here's my first tutorial on how to use the pen tool on photoshop to make good line art. i use adobe photoshop CS2 but it will probably be good for version 7.0 too.

all the pictures are made by me so...yeah. mine.

When you want to make your paths line art, you right click and select 'stroke path', right?
But the option 'stroke path' is not clickable. It comes grey.

then you probably have the wrong settings on the pen tool. check to make sure they are like the one in the tutorial.
If that's not it, you are either on a locked layer or a layer that cannot be drawn on like a text layer.
